Ivan behaalde het diploma Industrieel Ingenieur Electro Mechanica aan K.i.H. De Nayer in Sint-Katelijne Waver.

Hij is docent aan de Karel de Grote Hogeschool en geeft les aan de opleiding Multimedia Technology. Hij is coördinator voor de richting Web&UX en doceert zowel creatieve vakken (Animation, Web Animation, Motion Graphics, …) als technische (Web Standards, Web Scripting, ...).
